The increasing role of telecommunications and computers in everyday life does not do away with objects. Far from it, in this immaterial culture objects proliferate endlessly. What changes is that we begin to find the objects themselves worthless. Our love for objects has been replaced by a deep hate. We sell them relentlessly on ebay but still they accumulate. Every day more debt, more things, less joy.
